Nnamdi Kanu Sentenced to Life Imprisonment for Terrorism

Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has been sentenced to life imprisonment by the Federal High Court in Abuja. Justice James Omotosho delivered the judgment, finding Kanu guilty of multiple counts bordering on terrorism, membership of an unlawful organization, and incitement.

The court ruled that Kanu's actions contributed to violent attacks in the South East, posing a threat to national security. Kanu will be kept in custody in a correct facility with restricted access.
