Plateau Governor Caleb Mutfwang Defects to APC, Pledges Support for Tinubu's Re-election

Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang has officially defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the People's Democratic Party (PDP). The defection was formalized at an event where the Plateau State APC Chairman, Rufu Batur, presented Mutfwang with his APC membership card.

Mutfwang emphasized that his decision to join the APC was in the overall interest of Plateau State, aiming to promote unity and development. He expressed confidence that the state would benefit from the political realignment.

Despite acknowledging concerns from some quarters, Mutfwang urged residents to be patient and optimistic, assuring them that his decision was in the best interest of the state. He promised to run an inclusive government and called for unity among the people of Plateau State.

Mutfwang expressed gratitude to the PDP for providing a platform throughout his political career. Additionally, he thanked President Bola Tinubu for his support and pledged to support Tinubu's re-election bid in the 2027 general elections.
