Plateau Governor Mutfwang Resigns from PDP, Joins APC Amidst Leadership Focus

Plateau State Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has officially resigned from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and joined the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). In his resignation letter dated December 29, 2025, sent to the ward chairman of Ampang West Ward in Mangu Local Government Area, Mutfwang mentioned the need to focus on leadership and improve service delivery as reasons for his decision.

The governor thanked the PDP for the opportunity to serve within the democratic system. His move comes amidst prevailing political circumstances.

Mutfwang's resignation is effective immediately as he transitions to the APC.
