Controversial Police Spokesman Adejobi Transferred to Delta State

Prince Muyiwa Adejobi, the former public relations officer of the Nigeria Police Force, has been transferred from his post at the Force Headquarters in Abuja to the Delta State Police Command. Adejobi, who faced criticism for alleged repression of social media users and lack of accountability, has been replaced by his deputy.

His removal sparked reactions from activists like Deji Adeyanju and Omoyele Sowore, who criticized his tenure as a symbol of failure and mediocrity within the police system. Adeyanju even petitioned the United States embassy to revoke Adejobi's visa over alleged abuses of office, highlighting the contentious nature of his time as a police spokesman.
