Northern Senator Defects from PDP to APC Ahead of 2027 Elections

Senator Kaila Dahuwa Samaila from Northern Nigeria has officially defected from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) due to internal crises within the PDP. In a letter addressed to the Senate President, Samaila praised APC leader Bola Tinubu's reform agenda and vision.

He commended Senator Godswil Akpabio's leadership and pledged loyalty to the new party. The move is seen as a strategic political decision ahead of the 2027 elections.
