President Tinubu Appoints National Tax Policy Committee for Major Reforms

President Tinubu has approved the creation of the National Tax Policy Implementation Committee (NTPIC) to implement significant tax reforms aligning with Nigeria's economic objectives. The committee, chaired by Joseph Tegbe, a seasoned professional with vast experience in the public and private sectors, will ensure inclusive stakeholder consultations.

Minister of Finance Wale Edun will supervise the committee's activities, emphasizing the importance of effective tax laws for economic transformation. Special Advisor to the President on Finance and Economy, Sanyad Okoli, will serve as the committee's secretary.

The initiative aims to strengthen public financial management and boost investor confidence.
