President Tinubu Nominates Gen Chris Musa as New Defence Minister

President Tinubu has nominated Gen Chris Musa as the new Minister of Defence, succeeding Alhaji Moham Badaru Abubakar who resigned. Gen Musa, a distinguished soldier born in Sokoto in 1967, has served in various roles within the Nigerian Army, including Chief of Defence Staff.

He received the Colin Powell award in 2012 and has a strong educational background. His appointment is expected to further strengthen Nigeria's security architecture under President Tinubu's administration.
