Former Lagos Governorship Candidate Joins ADC in Coalition Against APC for 2023 Elections

Rhodes-Vivour, a former Lagos state governorship candidate, has officially left the Labour Party to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ahead of the 2023 elections. The move is part of a coalition effort to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming polls.

The announcement was made during an event on Saturday, September 6. The ADC aims to strengthen its position by attracting prominent political figures.

The defection faced initial challenges as the police attempted to disrupt the event in Alimosho, Lagos State. The Chairman of ADC Lagos State, George Ashiru, described the defection as a historic affirmation of the coalition's unity for the 2023 elections.
