BREAKING: There’s No More Corruption in Nigeria – Tinubu Declares in Brazil

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Nigeria declared the end of corruption in the country during a State Visit to Brazil. He credited administration reforms for ushering in a new era of accountability and transparency.

Tinubu highlighted the impact of the reforms, stating that the painful beginning had resulted in a blossoming economy with repositioned access to foreign exchange. President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva of Brazil praised the renewed engagement between the two countries, emphasizing the importance of partnership in a time of growing global protectionism.

The visit resulted in the signing of five Memoranda of Understanding to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various areas, including aviation, diplomacy, science, technology, and trade. Key officials from both countries were signatories to the agreements.

Nigeria is currently Brazil's 49th largest export destination, with trade expected to reach $10 billion by 2024. President Tinubu also attended a state luncheon hosted in his honor at the Itamaraty Palace in Brasilia.
