Tinubu Meets with Wike and Rivers Leaders to Address Political Tensions

In a bid to de-escalate political tensions in Rivers State, former Lagos State Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu held a late-night closed-door meeting with Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike, Siminalayi Fubara, and other Rivers leaders at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. The high-level intervention comes amid deepening friction between Governor Wike and his predecessor, with threats to destabilize the political landscape of the oil-rich state.

Following the meeting, Governor Fubara accompanied Governor Wike to his private residence in Guzap, Abuja, for further discussions with Tinubu.
