Bristow Launches First Airbus H160 Helicopters in Africa

Bristow Group has formally introduced the Airbus H160 helicopter service in Nigeria, marking the aircraft's first deployment in Africa to support the energy sector and rescue services. The unveiling took place recently at a gathering of energy stakeholders in Lagos.

Captain Dapo Oyelek, Managing Director of Bristow Helicopters, stated that the acquisition reflects the company's ongoing commitment to safety and excellence in complex offshore environments. Bristow has a six-decade operational history in Nigeria, establishing itself as a vital logistics hub in the Niger Delta.

The introduction of the H160 helicopter is part of Bristow's strategy to adapt to changing operational demands, maintaining a steadfast commitment to safety throughout various challenges, including the Nigerian Civil War, political crises, and the COVID-19 pandemic. Over the years, Bristow has pioneered the introduction of no less than 15 aircraft types across various manufacturers in Nigeria.
