BUA Cement Partners with CBMI to Expand Production Capacity in Sokoto, Nigeria

BUA Cement has signed an agreement with CBMI to build a new 3-million-ton-per-annum Sokoto Line 6 project in Nigeria, with an investment of $240 million. This project will significantly increase BUA Cement's production capacity to 20 million tons per year upon completion, strengthening the supply in the region.

The collaboration between BUA Cement and CBMI has been successful in delivering a total of 14 million tons of cement across BUA's factories in Obu, Edo, and Sokoto. Additionally, BUA Cement is set to complete a 700-ton-per-day mini LNG plant in Kogi to provide clean energy for the new Sokoto line.

The project aims to be completed within 20 months, contributing to job creation and supporting critical infrastructure development.
