BUA Group Commends NPA for Port Excellence Commitment

Abdul Samad Rabiu, the Chairman of BUA Group, commended Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), for their dedication to improving operational efficiency and stakeholder engagement in Nigeria’s ports.

This commendation occurred during a meeting focused on ongoing port system reforms, infrastructure renewal, and collaboration opportunities between the NPA and private sector operators. BUA, a significant player in Nigeria’s maritime sector through BUA Ports and Terminals Nigeria Limited, is investing over US$65 million in the reconstruction and modernization of Terminal B at the Rivers Port Complex in Port Harcourt.

Rabiu emphasized that the NPA's efforts to enhance the operating environment are fostering investor confidence and supporting long-term investments in critical port infrastructure. Dr.

Dantsoho expressed gratitude for the commendation and reiterated the NPA's commitment to building a modern, efficient port system through collaboration with terminal operators and private sector partners, aligning with the Federal Government’s port reform agenda.
