Julius Berger Commissions Key Road Project in Rivers State

Julius Berger Nigeria Plc reaffirmed its commitment to delivering enduring quality infrastructure with the commissioning of the reconstructed Buguma-Abalama-Tema-Degema-Abonnema Road in Rivers State on Monday. The project, which spans Asari-Toru, Degema, and Akuku-Toru local government areas, was inaugurated by His Royal Majesty King Dr. Disreal Gbobo Bob-Manuel II, the Amanyanabo and paramount ruler of Abonnema.

The ceremony was attended by numerous stakeholders, including Governor Siminalayi Fubara, who praised Julius Berger for meeting required standards and thanked the host communities for their cooperation. Dr. Abdulazziz Kaita, Director of Administration at Julius Berger, described the project as a significant contribution to the Rivers State Government’s infrastructure agenda, enhancing accessibility and connectivity.

Engr. Prof. Temple Nwofor, Commissioner for Works, detailed that the project involved constructing and rehabilitating approximately 19.79 kilometers of road, including drainage, culverts, street lighting, and walkways, along with rehabilitating seven existing bridges.
