Nigerian Air Force Clarifies Misleading Reports on NAF C-130 Aircraft Diversion in Burkina Faso

The Nigerian Air Force debunked media reports claiming Burkina Faso grounded a NAF C-130 aircraft that allegedly entered its airspace without authorization. The aircraft, carrying 11 military personnel, made an emergency landing in Bobo Dioulasso, Burkina Faso, due to technical concerns.

The NAF clarified that the diversion was a precautionary measure following standard safety procedures. The Burkina Faso authorities conducted a preliminary inquiry and confirmed that the aircraft did not possess overflight clearance.

The NAF expressed appreciation for the cooperation extended by Burkina Faso.
