Burna Boy Makes History with 5 Grammy Nominations, Davido and Others Recognized

Nigerian singer Burna Boy has achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first Nigerian artist with five Grammy album nominations. His latest project, "No Sign of Weakness 2025," has been nominated for the Best Global Music Album category at the upcoming 2025 Grammy Awards.

The nomination list also features renowned artists like Siddhant Bhatia, Youssou N'Dour, and Anoushka Shankar. Burna Boy's previous Grammy-nominated albums include "African Giant" (2019), "Twice as Tall" (2020), and "Love Damini" (2022).

Additionally, Davido and other Nigerian artists have also received recognition in various categories, showcasing the increasing global impact of African music. The winners of the Grammy Awards will be announced in Los Angeles next year.
