Women's Empowerment Essential for Nigeria's Economic Growth

The launch of the Business Women Influencing Renewed Hope Agenda (BWI-RHA) in Abuja highlighted the critical role of women's empowerment in Nigeria's economic growth. Stakeholders, including Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development Imma Sulaiman Ibrahim and Dr.

Joan Jummai Idonij of the Maryam Babangida National Centre for Women Development (MBNCWD), expressed unanimous support for initiatives that enhance women's entrepreneurship and leadership. The program, aligned with President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda, aims to impact women across all 774 local government areas through entrepreneurship support, skill acquisition, and financial inclusion initiatives targeting vulnerable groups.

Prof. Nentaw Yilwatda of the APC noted that investing in women translates directly to economic growth.

Dr. Ngozi Oyewol described the BWI-RHA as a movement to mobilize women's contributions to economic development.

The event featured a keynote address by Moham Abba Isa, who emphasized the importance of inclusive development for sustainable national growth. Bintu Fatima Tinubu urged support for grassroots women and vulnerable groups to ensure no one is left behind.
