CAF Pays Tribute to JJ Okocha on His 52nd Birthday: “A Walking Legacy”

CAF paid tribute to football legend Austin Okocha on his 52nd birthday, describing him as a "walking legacy" due to his talent and skill. Okocha had a successful career spanning nearly two decades from the late 80s to 2008, playing for various top European clubs.

He participated in five Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, with his best performance coming in 2000 when he scored in the final. Okocha also captained Nigeria in three consecutive AFCONs from 2002 to 2006.

Despite not winning the Ballon d'Or, former Senegalese international Habib Beye praised Okocha's talent and the quality of the teams he played for. Fans and CAF officials took to social media to celebrate Okocha's birthday and his contributions to African football.
