CBN Reaffirms Economic Stability Commitment at Trade Fair

During the 37th Enugu International Trade Fair, Olayemi Cardoso, the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), emphasized the bank's commitment to sustaining economic stability. He addressed the need for structural reforms and collaboration with stakeholders to enhance the health of the economy.

Cardoso highlighted the importance of treating the naira with respect, urging Nigerians to maintain the currency's integrity by ensuring it remains clean and free from counterfeiting. He also mentioned that the CBN is implementing bold fundamental reforms designed to strengthen the economy against external shocks and restore investor confidence.

The theme of the trade fair was "Empowering MSMEs for Global Competitiveness," reflecting the CBN's focus on supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises as part of its broader economic strategy.
