CBN Survey Forecasts Business Confidence to Reach 52.8 Points in Six Months

The Central Bank of Nigeria's survey forecasts a significant increase in business confidence to 52.8 points over the next six months, indicating a boost in economic activity. The survey, conducted in November 2025, revealed that business confidence stood at 37.5 index points, reflecting optimism among respondents regarding the macroeconomic environment.

Various sectors, including industry and agriculture, displayed optimism, with the North-East region recording the highest optimism at 52.7 index points. However, challenges such as insecurity, high taxes, poor power supply, and financial constraints remain prevalent.

Despite these obstacles, the outlook for business expansion and improved activity levels remains positive.
