CBN Vows to Increase Agricultural Loans with New ACGSF Board Unveiled

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) commits to boosting loans to farmers, led by Governor Olayemi Cardoso, who inaugurated a new board for the Agricultural Credit Guarantee Scheme Fund (ACGSF) in Abuja. The move aims to prioritize agricultural financing, recognizing agriculture as a key sector contributing to Nigeria's GDP and employment.

The new board, chaired by Dr. Olusegun Oshin, will focus on enhancing collaboration among policymakers, financial institutions, and farming communities to address credit challenges faced by smallholder farmers.
