Champion Breweries Launches N15.91bn Rights Issue for Expansion Strategy

Champion Breweries Plc has commenced a N15.91 billion rights issue on the Nigerian Stock Exchange to bolster its expansion plans. The offer, priced at N16 per share, aims to provide existing shareholders with the opportunity to purchase 994,221,766 ordinary shares.

The company's stock price closed at N13.20 per share before the announcement. The initiative is part of a broader capital-raising strategy following the approval of the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Shareholders can participate electronically via the NGX Invest platform or by completing physical subscription forms. Champion Breweries reported a pre-tax profit of N4.04 billion in its unaudited financial statement for the half-year ended June 30, 2025.
