Chaos at PDP Headquarters as Rival Factions Clash, Police Fire Tear Gas

A power struggle unfolded at the PDP national secretariat in Abuja as two rival factions clashed, with police firing tear gas to control the chaos. The clash occurred ahead of parallel meetings scheduled by the factions, one led by newly elected national chairman Tanimu Turaki and the other by expelled national secretary Samuel Anyanwu.

Turaki, accompanied by governors Seyi Makinde and Bala Mohammed, faced resistance from the pro-Wike group already inside the premises, resulting in physical altercations. The situation escalated further when tear gas was fired, leading to a tense standoff between the factions.
