APC Chieftain Accuses Individuals of Exploiting Nnamdi Kanu's Detention for Financial Gain; El Rufai Casts Doubt on Tinubu's 2027 Election Prospects

An APC chieftain has accused certain individuals of taking advantage of Nnamdi Kanu's detention to extort money from people. Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), was sentenced to life imprisonment in November 2025 for terrorism-related charges.

He is currently serving his sentence in Sokoto prison. In a Facebook post, the APC chieftain alleged that IPOB members and lawyers are profiting from Kanu's detention.

On a different note, former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El Rufai has suggested that APC leader Bola Tinubu may not win the 2027 elections. El Rufai made this statement during a dialogue on the future of the ruling party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
