OpenAI Raises $110 Billion, Valued at $730 Billion

OpenAI announced on February 27, 2026, that it has successfully raised $110 billion in a funding round, resulting in a pre-money valuation of $730 billion. This information was disclosed in a blog post by the company.

The investment round includes significant contributions from Amazon ($50 billion), Nvidia ($30 billion), and SoftBank ($30 billion), with additional investors expected to join. OpenAI noted that this new capital will facilitate the accelerated deployment of advanced AI tools across its platforms.

The funding coincides with strategic partnerships with Amazon and Nvidia. OpenAI highlighted its product Codex, an AI-powered code agent, which has seen weekly users triple to 1.6 million since the beginning of the year in January.

The company also announced plans to start testing in the U.S., targeting free users while offering a low-cost plan for pro business enterprise users, who will remain ad-free.
