Five Android Phones Losing Support by 2026

Several Android smartphones are approaching the end of their official software support lifecycles in 2026. The Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, launched in October 2021, are expected to conclude their support around October 2026, following a five-year commitment for Android and security updates.

The Moto G Stylus 5G (2023), released in June 2023, will end its support by June 2026, with a promise of one major Android upgrade and three years of security updates. The OnePlus 10T, which debuted in August 2022, is set to lose support around August 2026, having received a commitment for three major Android upgrades and four years of security updates.

The Sony Xperia 5 V, launched in 2023, will see its security support end on August 1, 2026, after receiving Android 14 and Android 15. Lastly, the Motorola Edge (2023), released in October 2023, is expected to conclude support by September 2026, with promises of two operating-system upgrades and three years of security updates.

Users are encouraged to check their devices and consider upgrading to newer models for continued access to updates.
