Chelsea and Arsenal Eye Nigerian Defender Emmanuel Fernandez

Chelsea and Arsenal are reportedly preparing to open discussions concerning Nigerian defender Emmanuel Fernandez, who is currently with Rangers FC in Scotland. The 24-year-old defender has been on the radar of the London clubs ahead of the summer transfer window.

Fernandez joined Rangers last summer for a modest fee of €3 million from Peterborough United and has since excelled, winning the Player of the Month award in January. Rangers FC, however, is not in a rush to sell the talent, as they believe Fernandez is now worth €10 million.

Bayern Munich is also monitoring his progress. No formal offers have been made yet, but clubs across Europe are expected to keep an eye on him until the end of the season.
