Chelsea Seeks Victory at Brentford's Gtech Stadium

Chelsea Football Club is set to face Brentford at Gtech Community Stadium, seeking to break a nearly five-year winless streak at the venue. Chelsea's last victory at Gtech was a 1-0 win on October 16, 2021, under then-coach Thomas Tuchel, with Ben Chilwell scoring the decisive goal.

Since that match, Chelsea has drawn their last four encounters at Gtech, including a recent match where they led until an 89th-minute equalizer from Fabio Carvalho after Moises Caicedo had scored for Chelsea in the 85th minute. Brentford has not won a home league game against Chelsea since 1938.

The match will also highlight Brentford's set-piece threat, particularly their long throws, as they aim to create chaos in the penalty box. In preparation, Chelsea has hired set-piece coach Austin Mac Phee from Aston Villa this summer to address these challenges.
