Chelsea FC has launched an internal investigation to identify the source of team news leaks that surfaced ahead of their Champions League defeat to Paris Saint-Germain. The leaks included details about the starting XI, which were widely circulated in French media prior to the first leg clash.

Reports confirmed that Wesley Fofana did not start alongside Trevoh Chalobah and Jorrel Hato in central defense. Although the club has identified the source, it is understood that the information did not come directly from a player.

Chelsea's interim coach, Rosenior, addressed the situation in a pre-match press conference ahead of their trip to Everton, but the club has chosen not to publicly disclose the identity of the individual involved. Following the 8-2 aggregate defeat to PSG, team captain Enzo Fernandez expressed uncertainty about the club's future.

Rosenior clarified that Fernandez remains committed to Chelsea, despite a growing injury list, which includes Chalobah, who is expected to be sidelined for several weeks.
