Relief for Nigerians as Cooking Gas Prices Plummet Below ₦900

Nigerians are experiencing relief as cooking gas prices have dropped below ₦900 per kilogram, attributed to stable forex rates and government import policies. The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has been on a downward trend since May, making clean cooking more affordable for many who had resorted to charcoal due to high costs.

Dealers are now selling LPG at around ₦880 per kg, with some major operators like Dangote Refinery offering even lower prices at ₦765 per kg. The reduction in LPG prices is a significant development for households, as it promotes the use of cleaner energy sources and reduces environmental impact while also easing the financial burden on consumers.
