Nigeria Leads West Africa in Climate Action at COP 30, Eyes Investment Boost

Nigeria is positioning itself as a climate action leader in West Africa by submitting its Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) at COP 30. Tenioy Majekodunmi, Director-General of Nigeria's National Council on Climate Change, highlighted Nigeria's pioneer status in the region.

The country aims to leverage COP 30 for substantial investments and partnerships to implement its NDC 3.0. Nigeria's approval of a national carbon market framework signals readiness for high-impact carbon investments.

This move aligns with the global momentum for climate action post-Paris Agreement.
