Nigerian Copyright Commission Condemns Attack on Officials

The Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC) condemned a violent attack on its officials by unidentified assailants at Sabo Market in Sagamu, Ogun State. The attack occurred during an operation to impound pirated books in an unmarked shop.

Despite the assault, the NCC reiterated its commitment to combating copyright piracy nationwide. Dr.

John Asein, the Director General of NCC, commended the officers for their restraint and vowed to pursue legal action against the perpetrators. The NCC emphasized the importance of upholding copyright laws to protect Nigeria's creative industry from illicit activities.
