Tragic Deaths of Two Young NYSC Members Raise Health Concerns

Two tragic deaths of young NYSC members, Joyc Abakumen and Azeezat Bahir, occurred in Plateau and Katsina states, respectively. Joyc, who completed her service in Jigawa State, fell ill with typhoid shortly after returning home to Plateau.

Despite medical attention, she passed away. Azeezat, who recently finished her service in Katsina, also died suddenly.

The incidents highlight the health challenges faced by young Nigerians during and after the mandatory NYSC program. The families and communities of the deceased are mourning their untimely deaths, emphasizing the fragility of life and the need for improved healthcare systems.
