Colleagues Speak Out on Alleged Coup Plot Against Tinubu After Actor's Arrest

Stanley Amandi, a former Chairman of the Actor Guild of Nigeria (AGN), was arrested, prompting his colleagues to reveal details about an alleged coup plot against President Bola Tinubu. The AGN's outgoing President, Emeka Rolla, and newly elected President, Abubakar Yakubu, confirmed Amandi's detention.

Yakubu explained that Amandi's family had contacted the AGN seeking assistance after his arrest by the Department of State Services (DSS). Confusion arose as initial reports suggested a routine security matter, but later information clarified the seriousness of the situation.

Additionally, Joe Igbokw, a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), mentioned Brigadier General Musa Abubakar's alleged involvement in the coup plot. The situation led to reactions on social media, with APC members stressing the gravity of the accusations against those implicated.
