Court Halts PENGASSAN's Moves to Disrupt Crude, Gas Supply to Dangote Refinery

The National Industrial Court has issued an interim injunction preventing the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) from disrupting crude oil and gas supplies to the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals. The court restrained PENGASSAN, Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), and Nigerian Midstream Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) from taking any action that could harm the refinery's operations.

PENGASSAN had instructed its members to suspend crude and gas supplies to the refinery, alleging unfair labor practices and the dismissal of 800 workers. The court emphasized the potential irreparable damage to the economy and national interest if the refinery's operations were disrupted.
