Coventry Chairman Addresses Lampard's Chelsea Speculation

Coventry City Chairman Doug King responded to speculation about Frank Lampard's potential return to Chelsea following Coventry's 5-1 victory over Portsmouth on Tuesday. King urged supporters not to worry about the rumors linking Lampard to Chelsea, particularly as the club is currently focused on its success under head coach Liam Rosenior.

In an interview with BBC CWR, King praised Lampard's impact on the club but noted that he cannot control outside interests or speculation regarding Lampard's future. Frank Lampard, who played for Chelsea from 2001 to 2014 and had two separate coaching spells at the club, first as permanent coach from 2019 to 2021 and then as interim manager in 2023, remains a significant figure in discussions about Chelsea's coaching prospects.
