Osun CP Orders Probe Into Fatal Clash Between Amotekun and Locals

The Commissioner of Police in Osun State, CP Ibrahim Gotan, ordered a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of three individuals in Akinlalu, Ife North local government area. The incident involved a clash between the Western Security Network (Amotekun) and a local chief, Oyebamiji Kamorudeen, leading to fatalities and injuries.

Following conflicting reports, the case was transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Osogbo for a detailed probe. The clash allegedly occurred when members of the Amotekun Corps retaliated against an earlier incident where their weapons were seized.

The investigation aims to unravel the truth behind the deadly confrontation and bring justice to the affected parties.
