Dembélé Defends Mbappé Against Unfair Criticism

Ousmane Dembélé, a forward for Paris Saint-Germain, defended Kylian Mbappé, the captain of the French national team, against what he described as unfair criticism following a trophyless season with Real Madrid. Speaking to the Spanish newspaper Marca, Dembélé stated that the scrutiny on Mbappé has gone too far, highlighting that the criticism often exaggerates minor details of Mbappé's behavior.

He emphasized that Mbappé is a good person off the pitch and that the reactions from fans and pundits are overblown. Dembélé also praised head coach Didier Deschamps, who has led the French team to World Cup glory in 2018 and a final appearance in 2022, and expressed hope for the potential future involvement of former French captain Zinedine Zidane as the national team coach.

Dembélé is expected to play a key role in France's upcoming World Cup campaign, which includes matches against Senegal, Iraq, and Norway in the group stage.
