Croatia Allows Work Without Permit for 15 Foreign Categories

Croatia has outlined 15 categories of third-country nationals permitted to work within its borders without needing to apply for a residence and work permit or a work registration certificate. This information was published on the Croatian government's official website.

Eligible groups include individuals granted temporary residence for family reunification with Croatian citizens or long-term residents, asylees, or those under subsidiary protection. Other categories include students working up to 20 hours per week, individuals with humanitarian temporary residence, and those holding long-term or permanent residence status.

The policy aims to simplify employment access for foreigners already in Croatia, particularly benefiting those from outside the European Union and the European Economic Area. The employment cap for students does not apply if the work is part of their academic program.
