NNPC Ltd. Reports 74% Revenue from Crude Oil in 2025

In its 2025 Annual Financial Report, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) disclosed that crude oil generated approximately 74% of its total revenue, amounting to N34.52 trillion. Despite a 23.4% decline in overall revenue from N45.08 trillion in 2024, NNPC's revenue from crude oil sales was N25.39 trillion, a decrease of 13.1% year-on-year.
However, NNPC recorded a Profit After Tax of N7.18 trillion in 2025, an increase from N5.41 trillion in 2024. The company achieved its highest average daily crude production in five years, with a total of 565.8 million barrels produced, averaging 1.77 million barrels per day.
Additionally, NNPC's natural gas production reached 2,606.2 billion cubic feet. The company also reported N8.42 trillion in other income, significantly higher than the N3.39 trillion from the previous year, which helped mitigate the impact of declining crude oil revenue.
NNPC Ltd. aims to increase crude oil production to 2 million barrels per day by 2027 and 3 million barrels per day by 2030.
