CSO Raises Concern Over Delay in 2025 Hajj Refunds by NAHCON

The CSO has raised concerns over NAHCON's delay in refunding excess Hajj fees of N437,000 per pilgrim for the 2025 pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia. The IHRC highlighted a financial surplus due to exchange rate differentials, estimating unutilized balances of N80,000 to N93,000 per pilgrim.

The CSO urged immediate action for transparency and prompt refunds to ease pilgrims' economic burdens and enhance public trust in Nigeria's Hajj administration.
