CSOs Demand Arrest of King Joel Agho Over Allegations

Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) are urging the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to arrest King Joel Agho due to unsubstantiated allegations he made against prominent Kogi leaders in a viral video. The coalition, which includes various human rights advocates, expressed concerns that Agho's claims could instigate public unrest and defame individuals.

Dr. Chinedu Ohalet, representing the coalition, emphasized that this is not the first time Agho has been involved in character assassination.

The CSOs highlighted the need for police action and international assistance through Interpol to ensure Agho is brought to Nigeria for further investigation. They criticized the previous administration of former Governor Yahaya Bello for failing to respect human rights and protect civil society.

The coalition insists that such allegations must be thoroughly investigated to prevent further unrest and maintain order in Kogi State.
