Trump Predicts Imminent Fall of Cuba's Government

In a CNN interview on Friday, former President Donald Trump asserted that Cuba's government is on the verge of collapse, stating it will "fall pretty soon." He reiterated threats against the communist regime, which is already facing significant challenges due to the U.S. energy blockade. Trump indicated that Cuba is eager for a deal, highlighting the economic difficulties exacerbated by the blockade.

He mentioned that Secretary of State Marco Rubio is a key figure in U.S. policy towards Cuba, noting Rubio's background as the son of Cuban immigrants and his desire for regime change in Havana. The blockade has contributed to a severe economic crisis in Cuba, marked by fuel shortages and power cuts.

Additionally, the situation has worsened following the U.S. capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, Cuba's main oil supplier, leading to a halt in oil imports to Cuba since January 9 and forcing airlines to reduce flights to the island.
