Czech Republic Sets High Wage for EU Blue Card Applicants

The Czech Republic has officially announced that foreigners applying for an EU Blue Card must earn a minimum gross monthly wage of CZK 73,823 (N4,561,922). This wage requirement is significant, as it exceeds the average salary in many African countries, making it a considerable hurdle for applicants from those regions.

The EU Blue Card serves as a combined work and residence permit for highly skilled nationals from outside the European Union, allowing them to live and work legally in an EU member state.
