Dangote Industries Limited (DIL) clarified that a truck involved in a fatal accident in Enugu did not belong to the company but was operated by Visco Investment Global Limited, a logistics firm. The incident claimed several lives.

DIL emphasized that the truck bore the Dangote brand logo, leading to speculation, and announced stricter measures to protect its brand identity. The company vowed to prevent any misrepresentation of its logo on unauthorized vehicles.

DIL also stated its commitment to cooperate with relevant authorities in investigating the matter and urged the public to avoid spreading unverified claims.
