Nigeria's Petrol Prices Drop by N153/Litre, Dangote and NNPC Lead Decrease

The average price of petrol in Nigeria has decreased by N153 per litre from November 2024 to November 2025, attributed to improved supply conditions and increased competition involving major players like Dangote Refinery and the NNPC. This drop in prices has helped ease the financial burden on households, transport operators, and businesses reliant on petrol.

However, experts warn that the relief may be fragile due to historical high prices and market volatility. Despite ongoing adjustments in distribution costs, the short-term market remains volatile, with a slight increase in petrol prices noted from October to November 2025.
