Importers Allege Dangote's Cheaper Petrol in Togo - Pricing Dispute Sparks Industry Tensions

Importers in Nigeria claimed that Dangote's petrol is cheaper in Togo than in Nigeria, alleging unfair competition practices. The Depot Petroleum Product Marketers Association of Nigeria (DAPPMAN) and the Petroleum Products Retail Outlet Owners Association of Nigeria (PETROAN) raised concerns over the pricing model.

DAPPMAN's Executive Secretary, Olufemi Adewole, highlighted the challenges faced by local businesses due to the alleged pricing disparities. The accusations have sparked tensions within the petroleum industry, with Dangote Refinery refuting the claims and suggesting ulterior motives behind the allegations.
