Dangote Refinery Cuts Petrol and Diesel Prices Significantly

On March 10, 2026, Dangote Petroleum Refinery implemented a significant reduction in ex-depot prices for premium motor spirit (petrol) and automotive gas oil (diesel). The new pricing template reveals that the price of petrol has been decreased by ₦100, bringing it down to ₦1,075 per liter, while diesel prices have been reduced by ₦190, now priced at ₦1,430 per liter.

The refinery noted that these prices do not include statutory charges imposed by the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority. This adjustment in pricing comes in response to a recent decline in global crude oil prices, which has eased cost pressures in the international petroleum market.

The refinery also mentioned that coastal distributors will sell petrol at ₦1,050 per liter, reflecting slightly lower prices for marine deliveries.
