Dangote Refinery Sources 60% of Crude Locally in 2026

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery sourced an estimated 116 million barrels of crude oil from Nigeria during the 12 months ending June 30, 2026. This figure represents approximately 60% of the refinery's crude feedstock, which was obtained through term contracts with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC), including the Federal Government’s crude-for-naira programme, as well as spot purchases from international oil companies and domestic producers.

The refinery processed about 26.4 million metric tonnes of crude feedstock, translating to approximately 193.5 million barrels. The prospectus did not specify the exact contributions from NNPC, international oil companies, or domestic producers.

The refinery's procurement model allows it to source crude oil from both domestic and international suppliers, with the remaining 40% of its crude requirements sourced internationally. This strategy is designed to enhance feedstock diversification and reduce reliance on any single supplier or delivery route.
