Dangote Refinery Cuts Petrol Price by N75 per Litre

Dangote Petroleum Refinery announced a reduction in the gantry price of premium motor spirit (petrol) by N75 per litre, bringing the new price to N1,175 per litre. This adjustment is effective from midnight on June 16, 2026.

The decision follows escalating tensions in the Middle East that have impacted energy prices over the past three months. The coastal price per metric ton has also been reduced from N1,250 to N1,175.

The refinery noted that the new pricing will apply to outstanding gantry volumes. The reduction comes amid a downward trend in global oil prices, particularly after reports of negotiations between the United States and Iran, which included a ceasefire agreement and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.

Brent crude prices dropped to $83 per barrel, contributing to expectations of further decreases in domestic fuel prices. The refinery emphasized its commitment to reliable product supply and excellent service delivery.
